Why token launches need creators in sequence
A launch has a fixed date, a contract that cannot be undone and an audience that checks everything. Our guide to what a TGE is covers what changes on the day; this page covers who speaks and when.
- The order of voices matters. Analysts who explain tokenomics and vesting should post before callers. When callers go first, buyers arrive with no context and leave at the first drop.
- In the EU, the white paper comes first. Where MiCA requires a white paper, marketing cannot go out before it is published, must be consistent with it and must be identifiable as marketing. The white paper is notified to the regulator at least 20 working days before publication, so our calendar starts from that date.
- KOL allocations can turn into sell orders. Unvested tokens paid to KOLs are often sold at the first chance. A cliff plus linear vesting, written into the deal and disclosed, keeps a KOL on the same side as your holders.
- An AMA is raw material. One X Spaces session or Telegram AMA holds many answers. Clipped with the question attached, they keep explaining the token after the live audience has gone.
To tell a KOL's audience from a KOL's circle, our analysis of token launch KOLs who drive buy orders sets out the wallet checks.
Token launch phases compared: who posts and what to watch
We split creator budget across four phases instead of spending it all on launch day. Our token launch PR and creator sequence shows how press fits the same calendar.
| Phase | Creator activity | What to measure | What to watch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-TGE community | Analyst threads, explainer videos, founder X Spaces, meme seeding | Community joins, waitlist sign-ups, questions asked | No EU marketing before a required white paper is published |
| TGE day | Disclosed KOL posts with the verified contract address, a launch AMA | Claims and buys through tagged links | Fake contract addresses and impersonator accounts |
| Listing | Exchange-specific posts, trading KOLs, live AMA clips | Trades and new holders per creator link | Price talk pushing out product facts |
| Post-listing | AMA clips, memes, product update videos, larger KOLs | Holders kept at day 7 and day 30 | KOL wallets selling inside an agreed no-sell window |
Every phase has a stop rule: if a launch fact changes, scheduled posts pause until creators hold the corrected version.
Our token launch process
We start from your launch facts: chain, TGE date, where the token will trade, white paper status and any KOL allocation.
- Launch fact check. We review the contract, tokenomics, vesting, liquidity plan and white paper, then agree which facts creators may repeat word for word.
- Roster by phase. Explainers for pre-TGE, chain-specific KOLs for launch day, trading voices for listing and community accounts for afterwards. Each is checked for bot followers and for how past promoted tokens ended.
- Deals and disclosure. Cash, tokens or both, with any allocation, cliff, vesting schedule and no-sell window in the contract and disclosed in the post.
- AMAs and clipping. We book hosts and co-hosts for X Spaces or Telegram AMAs, then cut answers into short clips with the question kept on screen.
- Phase review. After each phase we compare joins, wallets and holders per creator and change the next wave before it is booked.
AMA clips follow our AMA repurposing workflow, so no answer is trimmed into a claim the team never made.

What you get
- A phase calendar Who posts what in each phase, mapped to the white paper date, TGE and each listing.
- A vetted launch roster Analysts, KOLs, AMA hosts and meme accounts with audience data and past launch records.
- A launch fact pack Verified contract address, supply, vesting dates, where to trade and the claims creators must not make.
- AMA production Hosts and co-hosts, a question plan and a log of answers worth clipping.
- Clips and memes Short clips and meme assets for the weeks after listing, under agreed rights.
- A correction plan Who stops posts and what creators repost when a fact changes or a fake contract appears.
Reports follow the phases: joins and questions before TGE, tagged wallet actions on launch day, new holders and trades after listing, then retention at day 7 and day 30. Price and market cap appear for context only.
If KOLs are paid in tokens, we watch their disclosed wallets against the vesting terms. Our guide to paying crypto KOLs in tokens covers the clauses that matter.
Why 3betmedia
The team behind 3betmedia has run crypto creator campaigns since 2018, from a network launch built on creator explainers, podcasts and X Spaces to KOL campaigns for a Solana community brand and for DeFi on Polkadot.
Scope stays on creators: KOLs, AMAs, clips, memes and short video. We do not write white papers, secure listings, run your Telegram or provide liquidity. Clips come from our crypto clipping team, and nothing is booked until you approve the roster and budget.

Frequently asked questions
What does a token launch marketing agency do?
It plans who promotes a token, in what order and with which facts, from community build to post-listing. At 3betmedia that covers KOL vetting and deals, AMAs and X Spaces, clips and memes, a launch fact pack and phase-by-phase reporting. We do not provide market making, listings or price support, and we never promise price.
When should KOL marketing start before a TGE?
Once the facts are fixed and, for an EU offer, once any required white paper is published. MiCA bars marketing before that point, and the white paper has to be notified at least 20 working days before it goes out. We usually open with analysts and founder Spaces, then book launch-day KOLs for the final days.
Do token launch KOLs have to disclose payment?
Yes, and token allocations count as payment. The FTC expects the paid relationship to be clear in the post itself. Where a token is a security in the US, promoters must disclose the nature, source and amount of compensation; the SEC settled charges with Kim Kardashian over an undisclosed paid crypto post in 2022. MiCA also requires EU marketing to be identifiable as marketing.
How much does a token launch campaign cost?
Campaigns start at $2,000, and the first gets 10% off. Cost follows the number of phases, KOL tiers, AMA production and the volume of clips. Any token allocation to KOLs is agreed separately, with its vesting in each contract.
Can you clip our AMAs and X Spaces?
Yes. We log each answer in your recording with its question and timestamp, then cut short clips for X and YouTube Shorts. Each clip keeps the question on screen so the answer stays in context, and your team approves every clip before it goes out.
