Why creator channels need sportsbook-specific rules
Fans pick bets close to the match, and the creators they follow are already in the feed. A sportsbook creator programme also runs under age, casting and deal rules that general creator agencies rarely handle.
- US audience age is measured, not assumed. The AGA Responsible Marketing Code asks for influencers aged 21 or over and for placement only where at least 73.6% of the audience is reasonably expected to be 21 or older.
- Some states regulate the deal itself. Massachusetts bars operators from paying marketers a share of sports wagering revenue. A promoter who bets under a deal must disclose it and cannot be paid in promotional credits.
- UK casting has hard lines. The CAP Code bans ads of strong appeal to under-18s and anyone who is or seems under 25 in a significant role. Guidance from October 2025 treats 100,000 under-18 followers as a sign of strong appeal.
- One fixture feeds several channels. A preview before kick-off, a watch-along during the match, clips after the whistle and app demos between rounds. Planned together, each piece supports the next.
If you only need creators matched to the fixture calendar, our sportsbook influencer marketing page covers analysts, tipsters and fan channels in detail.
Creators vs streamers vs clipping vs UGC vs memes: sportsbook channels compared
Each creator channel does a different job for a sportsbook. We build the mix from your markets, your app and the fixtures you want to own.
| Channel | What it does for a sportsbook | Timing | Rule to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Match-day creators and tipsters | Preview fixtures, explain markets and share reasoned picks | Days and hours before kick-off | 21+ audience data in the US; no pick framed as a sure result |
| Live streamers | Watch-alongs and bet slip talk while the game is on | The live window | Twitch Gambling label; Kick licensed platforms only; YouTube certified operators |
| Clipping | Turns streams and creator moments into short clips across many accounts | After the final whistle and between rounds | Footage rights and disclosure on every clip |
| Betting app UGC | Phone-screen demos of sign-up, bet slip and cash out for your paid and store teams | Launches, new states and new features | Talent 21+ in the US; nobody who is or seems under 25 in a significant UK role |
| Memes | Keeps the brand in fan talk between fixtures | Rivalry weeks and big talking points | Youth appeal, which UK guidance rates high for football |
UGC for your app is produced through our betting app UGC service, and stream highlights go out through our iGaming clipping agency.
How we run creator-led sportsbook marketing
- Market map. We list your licensed states or countries, the age rule in each, any state limits on deal structure and the platforms your brand can use.
- Channel mix per match week. Each tentpole fixture gets a preview creator, a live stream where allowed, a clip run and app UGC for launches, sized to the budget you approve.
- Casting with age evidence. Every creator shows audience age and location data before booking. We also confirm the creator's own age against US 21+ and UK under-25 rules.
- Claims under control. Odds, boosts and free-bet offers go into the brief with terms and an owner. Creators show responsible gambling lines and never use risk-free wording.
- Read by channel, then rebook. Registrations and first bets per creator, read against comparable fixtures, decide who returns for the next block.
Between fixtures, the brand stays in fan conversation through our iGaming meme marketing work.

We log what ran, where, when and with whom. In Massachusetts operators must keep that record, plus copies of the ads, for six years, so our logs are built to drop into it.
Results are matched to your back office under a window agreed before launch, then split by channel, so streams, clips and previews each answer for their own budget.
Why 3betmedia
We are a creator agency, not a full-service sportsbook agency. The team behind 3betmedia has run creator programmes since 2018 in categories where ads are restricted and audiences test every claim, from crypto exchanges to crypto casinos.
That keeps our scope narrow and our checks deep: audience age, casting age, state rules on deal terms and platform rules for each stream. Nothing is booked until you approve every creator and the budget.

Frequently asked questions
What does a sportsbook marketing agency do?
It plans and runs the channels that bring a sportsbook new bettors. 3betmedia covers the creator channels only: match-day creators and tipsters, streamers, clipping, betting app UGC and memes, each checked against your licence, market age rules and platform policy.
How much does creator-led sportsbook marketing cost?
Campaigns start at $2,000, and the first gets 10% off. The total follows the number of fixtures, channels and markets you activate. There is no rate card, and nothing is booked until you approve it. Our creator pilot budget guide shows how to size a first test.
What US rules apply to sportsbook influencers?
State rules come first and vary. The AGA Responsible Marketing Code asks for influencers aged 21 or over, placement only where at least 73.6% of the audience is reasonably expected to be 21 or older, and no risk-free language. Massachusetts limits placement where 25% or more of an audience is likely under 21 unless age controls are in place.
What UK rules apply to sports betting creators?
CAP rules ban gambling ads of strong appeal to under-18s and bar anyone who is or seems under 25 from a significant role. Updated guidance treats 100,000 under-18 followers as a sign of strong appeal and rates football as high risk. Our UK gambling influencer marketing page covers casting and disclosure.
Can a sportsbook sponsor live streamers?
Yes, on the right platform. Twitch allows sports betting streams that carry its Gambling label. Kick allows sponsored gambling only from platforms licensed in the relevant jurisdiction, with 18+ labels. YouTube allows links only to Google-certified operators. We confirm current rules and your licence before booking.
