iGaming creator campaign ROI calculator
Cost per first deposit tells you what a player cost. It does not tell you whether the campaign made money. This calculator adds player value over time, so you can see the ROI, the break-even number of first deposits and the month a streamer or influencer campaign pays back.
Free, no sign-up. It runs in your browser and stores nothing.

How the calculator works
Every result comes from a short formula, so you can check it or rebuild it in a spreadsheet.
| Result | Formula |
|---|---|
| Contribution per player | Sum over the months counted of first-month net revenue x retention^(month - 1) x (1 - costs share - revenue share) |
| Total contribution | Contribution per player x first deposits |
| Profit and ROI | Total contribution - campaign cost, then profit divided by campaign cost |
| Break-even first deposits | Campaign cost divided by contribution per player |
| Max cost per first deposit | Contribution per player: the most a first deposit can cost before the campaign loses money over the months counted |
| Payback | The first month in which cumulative contribution covers the campaign cost |
Retention here means the share of last month's net revenue that comes back next month, across the whole cohort. A 50% figure means month two brings in half of month one, month three half of month two, and so on.
Where to get each input
- Campaign cost. Everything you pay for the campaign: creator fees, production, rights, management and any fixed bonus. Our streamer sponsorship cost calculator builds that total from a quote.
- First deposits. From your tracking links and back office, inside the attribution window you agreed with the creator. Our guide to what counts as an FTD covers the definitions that change the count.
- Net revenue and retention. Use a past cohort from the same market and channel. If you only know gross gaming revenue, read GGR vs NGR first, because bonuses and taxes can take a large share. A repeat depositor cohort gives you the monthly decay.
- Costs on revenue. Gaming tax, payment fees and bonus cost as a share of net revenue, from finance. Leave revenue share at zero unless creators are paid a share of what their players generate.
Read the result before you scale
A campaign that loses money at month 3 can still be the best channel you have at month 12. Check the payback month against how long you can carry the cost, and against how long your players actually stay.
The max cost per first deposit is the number to take into creator negotiations. If your quotes sit above it, look at CPA, revenue share and hybrid deals before you cut the creator list. A deal that moves part of the fee into a payment per qualified player shifts the risk off your side.
Treat the output as a plan, not a forecast. Creator audiences differ from your average player, and a streamer cohort can retain better or worse than paid search. Run the calculator again with the real cohort after 60 days.
Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate the ROI of an influencer campaign for a casino?
Take the contribution the campaign's players generate over a set number of months, after taxes, payment costs, bonus costs and any revenue share, subtract the campaign cost, and divide by the campaign cost. Cost per first deposit alone does not show ROI, because it ignores what each player is worth.
What retention rate should I use?
Use your own cohort data for the same market and channel. There is no universal rate. If you have none, run the calculator at a low, middle and high value and plan around the low one.
Why count months instead of lifetime value?
A fixed window makes the result comparable between campaigns and keeps it honest. Lifetime value estimates often assume players stay longer than they do. Twelve months is a common planning window; change it to match how finance plans.
Should revenue share go in this calculator?
Only if creators are paid a share of the revenue their players generate. Put it as a percentage and the calculator removes it from every month's contribution.
Is my player data stored when I use the ROI calculator?
No. It runs in your browser and sends nothing. Your numbers only reach us if you paste the summary into a Telegram message or bring it to a call.
