Capture the statement in the form the audience will encounter
Extract the claim from the spoken line, screenshot, thumbnail and destination. “One selection won” is a different assertion from “followers made a profit this season.” Identify which statement the sponsor intends to commission.
Keep the named service and reporting period attached to it. A creator may operate a public feed, a paid group and several sports-specific products. A record from one should not silently substantiate a claim about all of them.
Use the creator diligence review for identity and wider suitability. Track-record substantiation needs its own source review before the creative team chooses a stronger headline.
Ask what the record includes and omits
Request the selections published during the claimed period, their original publication times, stated prices, stake basis and recorded outcomes. Ask how voids, changed tips and missing observations appear. A list containing only favorable results cannot answer a claim about the whole period.
Identify the party maintaining the record and which observations it independently checks. A logo or a “verified” label is incomplete without a method and scope. Do not infer that a third party checked price availability merely because it logged the result.
Keep win counts separate from financial returns. A share of selections that won does not describe the prices obtained, stake sizes, losing selections or service costs. Request the evidence relevant to the advertised measure before allowing those labels to replace each other.
Leave a gap explicit when the supporting material is unavailable. A strong delivery history or large following cannot fill an unsubstantiated performance claim.
Apply the relevant claim guidance with its actual scope
For the UK context, ASA/CAP guidance calls for independent proofing of past winner or profit claims and warns against implying that selected past success is typical or guaranteed. Read that guidance with the qualified reviewer responsible for the actual promotion.
It also discusses whether tipped prices remained available long enough for consumers to have a reasonable opportunity to act. A recorded price and an observed result do not, by themselves, establish the experience advertised to followers.
These are bounded references to UK guidance. Other jurisdictions, products and formats need their own review. The creator agency’s content check is not a legal approval of a tipping service.

Use a claim-to-record worksheet
| Claim element | Request | Hold if missing |
|---|---|---|
| Period | Exact dates and selection set | A season-wide or typical-result statement |
| Verification | Method, timing and independent scope | An unqualified verified-record label |
| Price basis | Original observation and relevant availability evidence | A claim about returns followers could obtain |
| Costs and treatment | What the reported figure includes | An unexplained net-profit assertion |
The worksheet organizes questions. It does not calculate a real record, establish a minimum sample size or certify an advertised return.
An illustrative highlight cannot support a whole-season promise
A fictional sponsor receives three screenshots of winning selections and a draft headline describing consistent season-long profit. The material does not contain the full claimed period or a proofing record.
The reviewer holds the performance headline. The team can consider a different content task, such as a clearly scoped explanation of the service, only if the remaining facts and promotion are properly supported. It does not manufacture missing losses, invent a percentage or treat the absence of evidence as proof that the creator is dishonest.
This example is fictional. It recommends no bet, provider, staking method or investment.
Recheck the final asset for the removed promise
A creator may accept a revised script while an old winning-slip graphic or thumbnail still carries the broader claim. Use final content approval to inspect the export and its surrounding post together.
Keep the commercial relationship visible under the applicable requirements. Disclosure explains the relationship; it does not substantiate the tipster’s performance claim. Both need review.
Bring the proposed audience task and available evidence to a tipster creator campaign scope discussion. Choose content the record can support without turning selected outcomes into a promise about future results.
Frequently asked questions
Do a few winning screenshots substantiate a season-long profit claim?
They show selected observations. Review the complete claimed period, method, prices and applicable requirements before making a broader statement.
Does sponsorship disclosure prove that the advertised record is accurate?
No. The commercial relationship and the factual performance claim need separate evidence and review.
Does this guide rank tipsters or recommend their picks?
No. It helps brand buyers review claims in commissioned content. It supplies no tipster rating, betting advice or forecast.
