Obtain one confirmed change record
Ask the authorized product owner what changed, when and which official sources describe it. Keep the earlier and current identities separately recorded. A social post using a new ticker should not be the sole basis for replacing contract references across a campaign.
Use the token identity source record to resolve names, networks and destination references before making an edit. This task begins with supplied confirmed facts; the content team does not decide which token or migration route a holder should use.
Where official sources disagree, hold the affected claim and return the conflict to the owner. Do not choose the most convenient address because a creator is waiting.
Inventory published references by surface
List original videos, captions, thumbnails, profile links, pinned posts, approved excerpts and brand-owned embeds that fall within the campaign. Identify the actual publisher and control available for each surface.
Search the accepted source and publication records for the old name, ticker, visible screen or destination. A file may contain an outdated reference even when its title uses the current project name.
Separate an unpublished draft from a live asset and an independent repost. They need different actions. The team should not promise to alter copies it cannot control.
Choose the editorial treatment for each item
| Asset condition | Review question | Record the decision |
|---|---|---|
| Current invitation with old destination | Which confirmed destination is appropriate now? | Accepted correction or hold |
| Historical explanation | Does the date and context make its old reference clear? | Retain with context, revise or retire |
| Recorded screen with old identity | Would a caption change leave contradictory footage? | New accepted edit or recording |
| Uncontrolled copy | What action can the team actually request? | Known limit and responsible contact |
The content correction and pause plan provides the wider handoff. An entry in this inventory does not prove the public asset changed.

Keep content updates away from improvised transfer instructions
A creator may explain a confirmed change using the client’s reviewed sources. Do not ask them to invent wallet steps, troubleshoot a holder’s account or instruct people to send assets to an address supplied in informal chat.
Use the approved official destination and the actual product reviewer for unresolved technical questions. Keep private credentials, recovery information and customer documents out of the recording and feedback process.
Review urgency claims carefully. The production team should not add an unsupported deadline or threatened loss to make an update more persuasive.
An illustrative old excerpt needs its own review
A fictional project confirms an identity change. The main creator post receives an accepted caption correction, but a short excerpt still displays the earlier destination in its video frame.
The producer records the excerpt as a separate affected asset and requests the appropriate reviewed treatment from its publisher. It does not mark the whole distribution set corrected because the main post now looks current.
This invented example gives no actual token mapping, migration method, holder deadline or financial advice.
Close against the observed public state
Open the affected commissioned URLs after the publisher reports completion. Inspect the wording, visible footage and actual link destination. Record the observation time, accepted version and any remaining exception.
Keep the publisher’s response and the visible result separately recorded. A message saying done is useful coordination evidence, but the owner still needs to inspect the actual surface. Where a controlled asset cannot be checked, keep its status unverified rather than close it by assumption.
Keep the original source record for context rather than overwrite the history. A later reviewer may need to understand why an older recording used the earlier identity.
Bring the confirmed change and publication inventory to creator update production. Commission the corrections the team can perform and verify, with technical migration questions left to the responsible product owner.
Frequently asked questions
Does changing the main post caption update every creator excerpt?
No. Inspect each commissioned surface, including footage, thumbnails, pinned material and destinations.
Should a creator invent wallet steps for a token migration update?
Use the authorized product owner and approved official instructions. Content production does not provide improvised asset-transfer or recovery advice.
Can a campaign promise to correct every independent repost?
State the control the team actually has. Record requests and remaining limits without claiming changes that the public evidence does not confirm.
