Choose the customer question the opening should answer
Decide whether the asset explains packaging, included accessories, device handling or another confirmed product detail. A short opening cannot responsibly stand in for a complete security evaluation.
Name the actual model and sample state. A retail pack, press sample and pre-release unit may differ. Give the creator the product owner’s confirmed explanation of those differences instead of asking them to guess why an item is missing.
The unboxing creator commission covers the general shoot. Hardware-wallet footage needs a specific decision about screens, backup material and any account already associated with the sample.
Keep recovery material out of the recording process
Trezor tells users not to share their wallet backup or make digital copies, including photographs and screenshots. Use the actual manufacturer’s instructions for the product being filmed and agree the boundary with the responsible security owner.
Do not ask the creator to record real backup words and rely on a blur later. The raw file, review upload or alternate take may still contain them. Plan the shot so private material never enters the camera or screen capture.
Keep passwords, PINs, private keys, passphrases, recovery words and live account details out of shared production materials. A brand brief needs confirmed product facts, not access to a real wallet.
Agree what the creator may show before the sample arrives
- Sample: the exact model, packaging version and approved handling state.
- Camera boundary: which surfaces may appear and which remain closed or outside the frame.
- Product facts: the manufacturer source for each stated feature.
- Review owner: who can resolve a device or instruction mismatch.
- Final files: the accepted views, edits and permissions required for the intended destinations.
Keep any demonstration clearly identified. Do not make a staged interface or a fresh sample look like evidence of a creator’s long-term personal use. If setup or recovery instructions are necessary, refer the viewer to the current manufacturer guidance rather than improvise a tutorial within the unboxing.

Separate handling impressions from security claims
The creator can describe what they actually see and do within the accepted shoot. Opening a seal, pressing a button or seeing a device connect does not prove that a product resists every attack or protects every asset.
Use the crypto product claim review for words such as secure, certified or audited. Ask for the precise source, scope and appropriate reviewer before those words enter the performance, packaging close-up or thumbnail.
Keep the creator’s honest response intact. A paid production should not ask them to pretend they owned the device for months, recovered funds successfully or tested a security feature they never examined.
An illustrative review catches a reflected screen
A fictional shoot keeps the main device view clear, but a reflective packaging surface catches a nearby screen containing private account information. The reviewer identifies the affected source take before the file enters the accepted delivery set.
The responsible product or security owner decides the appropriate response. The production team holds that material and revises the recording setup. It does not circulate the sensitive frame for more feedback or declare the underlying account safe because one export received a blur.
This invented example explains why recording boundaries matter. It gives no remediation or funds-transfer instructions and makes no claim about a real device.
Inspect the complete export and handoff
Review close-ups, reflections, captions and background screens at full size. Check that no edit reintroduces a held take. Keep the final asset connected to the approved product facts and intended-use record.
Agree who handles retention of raw footage and who may access the production folder. Request only the files the commission needs, and route any sensitive-material concern through the actual responsible owner.
Bring the sample and audience task to a crypto UGC production discussion. Commission a clear product opening with a recording boundary the creator can follow.
Frequently asked questions
Should a creator film real wallet backup words for a later blur?
Keep that material outside the recording process. Raw files and alternate versions can retain information even when one final edit hides it.
Does a hardware-wallet unboxing prove the device is secure?
No. Describe the observed handling and supported product facts. Security claims need their own evidence, scope and appropriate review.
Can a press sample be presented as the creator’s long-term wallet?
Do not imply use or testing that did not happen. Identify the actual sample and keep the performance within the creator’s real experience.

The filming boundary and fictional review are original production recommendations. Trezor’s own instructions support keeping its wallet backup private and out of digital copies. Follow the actual manufacturer and qualified security owner; no device setup, funds movement or security certification is provided.
