Crypto KOL Contracts: The Product and Content Schedule

A crypto KOL deal needs a content schedule, not just a post count and token allocation. The product facts, wallet boundaries and approved representation must be clear before the creator records.

Identify the product and the exact creator role

Name the product entity, promoted destination and requested work. Separate a feature demonstration, sponsored explanation and personal endorsement. Do not imply the creator supplies investment advice, exchange access or product security certification unless that is genuinely established and permitted.

List accepted deliverables with dates and platforms. A generic promise to “support the launch” leaves the team unable to distinguish content production from community operations, trading or investor introductions. 3betmedia’s scope here concerns creator campaigns, not those unsupported services.

Attach a claim and evidence packet

Give the KOL the current build, approved product facts and limitations. Assign an owner for questions about token mechanics, availability and eligibility. Separate observable product actions from issuer claims that need independent evidence or qualified review.

The FCA’s social-media guidance may apply to relevant UK financial promotions. The FTC addresses paid endorsements and truthful claims where US rules apply. Neither reference provides a universal clearance for a crypto product or creator script.

Keep wallet access outside the ordinary content brief

Use approved test environments where possible. Never ask a creator to share a seed phrase, private key or unrestricted wallet access with a campaign coordinator. Ethereum’s security guidance supports treating secrets and unfamiliar signing requests cautiously.

A hypothetical product demonstration stops when the supplied flow requests an unexpected permission. The creator reports it to the product owner instead of signing to meet the deadline. A production agreement should make that pause workable rather than punishing a sensible safety decision.

Separate token terms from content rights

If compensation includes a token component, obtain appropriate review of its valuation, disclosure and obligations. A vesting or lock-up arrangement does not describe who may edit the video, use the creator’s likeness or run the asset on another channel.

Record content licences and permitted edits separately. The Copyright Office is a primary reference for rights questions. Do not interpret a broad token partnership label as perpetual ownership of the creator’s future work.

Make acceptance and change handling observable

Save the approved script, final destination, content version and delivery URLs. Agree what happens if the product or offer changes after recording. A changed token plan requires a new factual review; it cannot be fixed by keeping the old claim and adding a small caption.

Give counsel and the relevant reviewers the actual schedule and unresolved decisions. The commercial brief should make their work more specific, not claim to replace legal advice. A useful KOL commission remains understandable even when token compensation is removed from the conversation.

An airdrop creator campaign needs a separately reviewed eligibility explanation and safe product route.

Frequently asked questions

Does a token lock-up grant video rights?

No such assumption should be made. Token obligations and content licences need separate explicit terms and appropriate review.

Should a campaign coordinator hold a creator’s wallet key?

No. Do not request seed phrases, private keys or unrestricted access for an ordinary content commission.
