Start with the inventory the buyer receives
A live integration purchases an agreed appearance while the broadcast is happening. A retained recording can make that content available later. A separately edited clip is another asset with its own permission and delivery questions.
Write these items separately in the order. A stream fee should not silently establish indefinite recording availability, and a VOD view total should not imply that everyone watched the sponsor live.
The casino streamer campaign scope can define the live session and recording terms. Product and platform eligibility still require review for the actual campaign; an attractive view count does not approve the sponsorship.
Use the metric name together with its definition
YouTube distinguishes simultaneous viewers from the total times a stream was viewed while live. It also reports watch time and average view duration. These are different observations, not alternative names for a single audience count.
Twitch’s developer reference similarly separates a stream’s current viewer count from a video view count. A current observation is not a cumulative audience total. Use the actual platform, report and extraction time instead of assuming every dashboard implements the same measure.
The average-viewer buying guide helps interpret concurrency. That measure can support a live-placement decision; it does not tell you how many distinct people later watched a recording.
Compare live and recording obligations on one record
Ask the creator or provider to identify what is promised and what is only an observation. Keep the time window and evidence source beside each item. A useful comparison can leave a figure unknown rather than substitute a familiar counter.
| Item | Define before booking | Review after delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Live integration | Session, sponsor placement and accepted live window | Recording timestamps and agreed evidence |
| Live audience | Actual metric, source and relevant segment | Observation with its definition and date |
| Retained VOD | URL, availability term and required sponsor context | Actual accessible version and exceptions |
| Later viewing | Recording metric and measurement cutoff | A dated recording observation, separate from live attention |
If payment depends on a number, agree the counted event and reconciliation rule in the actual contract. Do not turn this comparison record into a universal rate card or assume that any platform counter establishes qualified customers.

Inspect where the sponsor appears in each version
A recording may remain available while a description link, pinned message or surrounding offer changes. Identify which surfaces form part of the accepted deliverable. Check them separately rather than treating one working VOD URL as evidence that the complete package remains intact.
Review the recording at the intended viewing size. Confirm that the sponsor statement, important product context and any required qualification remain understandable after processing or editing. A short edit can lose the meaning that the full broadcast supplied.
Use the stream delivery checklist for those acceptance rows. If a required surface is unavailable, record the exception and follow the agreed process instead of describing the whole order as delivered.
A fictional comparison mixes a live peak with later views
Suppose a fictional proposal presents a live peak of 1,200 alongside 6,000 later recording views. Another proposal shows average live concurrency for a comparable sponsored segment but no recording commitment.
The buyer cannot add the first two numbers into 7,200 unique people or compare that sum directly with the second creator’s average concurrency. The figures describe different units and windows, and some people may appear in more than one audience observation.
The buyer returns to the deliverables: which live role is needed, whether a retained recording has value and which evidence can support each purchase. These numbers are invented for the comparison, not market benchmarks or a claim that either format converts better.
Keep late recording performance in its own window
Choose the date at which the campaign report observes later recording views. Preserve the source and extraction time, and identify whether the figure covers live viewing, later viewing or a platform-defined combination. Do not silently replace an earlier report with a larger number from a different window.
If the recording remains useful after the initial report, show that later observation as another period. It should not retroactively change which live integration was accepted or imply that later viewers encountered a now-expired offer.
Views, eligibility and attribution still need separate decisions. A recording open does not prove a qualified registration, first deposit or approved acquisition event.
Price the work against the purpose
A brand can value a live explanation, audience interaction and a usable recording differently. Ask suppliers to quote the same requested items so the comparison reflects a real commission rather than the largest available counter.
Bring the live role, recording term and metric definitions to the planning call. Those inputs make the scope checkable while leaving audience delivery and customer outcomes honestly bounded.
Frequently asked questions
Are peak concurrent viewers the same as VOD views?
No. A simultaneous audience observation and a recording view counter describe different events. Keep the platform, definition and measurement window attached to each figure.
Does keeping a VOD online prove that the whole sponsor package remains available?
No. Check the actual recording, links, surrounding offer and any other accepted surface separately. A working URL is only one observation.
Can we use one universal CPM to compare all live and VOD proposals?
Not without a common counted unit and scope. First compare the contracted work, evidence and window; do not infer qualified customers from a view counter.
