Why stablecoin marketing changed in 2025 and 2026
Stablecoins went from trading tool to payment product in two years. The law caught up at the same time, and much of it is about what you may say.
- US law limits the words you can use. The GENIUS Act, signed on 18 July 2025, makes it unlawful to say a stablecoin is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States or to market something as a payment stablecoin unless it is issued under the Act, and it bans issuers paying yield on holding.
- Yield through partners is under scrutiny. The OCC's proposed rule of 25 February 2026 presumes some affiliate and third-party yield programmes break the ban. The Act takes effect by 18 January 2027 at the latest.
- Europe sets rules for e-money token marketing. MiCA requires marketing for e-money tokens to be clearly identifiable, fair and consistent with the white paper, to state the right to redeem at par, and it bans interest on holding them.
- Payments are now the story. Visa's stablecoin settlement passed a $20bn annualised run rate in 2026, more than 15 times a year earlier, with over 160 stablecoin-linked card programmes live.
Every creator claim goes through the same review we use for other regulated crypto products. The checks are listed in our crypto creator claim review.
What to say, and what to avoid, in stablecoin creator content
Most stablecoin compliance problems in creator content come from a few phrases. Here is how we brief around them.
| Topic | Safer wording | Risky wording | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Backing | Backed by reserves held by the issuer | Backed by the US government | Banned under the GENIUS Act |
| Returns | Send and spend in seconds | Earn interest just by holding | Yield bans in the US and EU |
| Redemption | Redeemable at par, as the issuer states | Always worth exactly one dollar | Overstates the guarantee |
| Availability | Available in the countries listed | Available everywhere | Licensing differs by market |
| Use case | Show a real payment or card purchase | Lifestyle shots of spending gains | Implies profit, not payments |
Stablecoin cards and apps live or die on onboarding. Our crypto wallet marketing agency page explains how creators walk users through setup to a funded account.
How we run a stablecoin creator campaign
- Licence and market map. We list the countries you can serve, the licences behind each and the claims your legal team has approved.
- Creator casting. Fintech, payments, travel and crypto creators whose audiences actually move money across borders or pay online.
- Product-in-use briefs. Creators show a real payment, transfer or card purchase. No yield claims and no backing claims beyond what the issuer publishes.
- Review and approval. Every script and post goes to your compliance team before it goes live.
- Funded account reporting. Sign-ups, KYC passed, first funding and repeat transactions per creator.
Tokenised assets often sit next to stablecoins in the same product. Our RWA marketing agency page covers that side.

What you get
- A market and claims map Countries, licences and approved wording in one page.
- A creator shortlist Fintech, payments and crypto creators matched to your users.
- Product-in-use briefs Demos of real payments and cards, with disclosure.
- Compliance sign-off workflow Every post approved by your team before publishing.
- Weekly reports Funded accounts, transactions and spend per creator.
We report funded accounts and repeat transactions, not downloads, because a stablecoin app that is installed and never funded has no users.

Why 3betmedia
We have run crypto and fintech creator campaigns since 2018. Swissmoney onboarded 32,000+ users and cut CPA 4x, Zerion's X following rose 48% to 117,000, and io.finnet reached 5,000+ developer sign-ups in three weeks with technical KOLs.
We never describe a stablecoin as risk-free or as earning interest, and we follow the rules of each market you serve. For UK audiences we use the FCA approach on our crypto influencer marketing UK page.

Frequently asked questions
What does a stablecoin marketing agency do?
It helps stablecoin issuers and stablecoin payment products find users. 3betmedia does this with creator campaigns that show the product in use, with claims checked against the rules in each market.
Can creators talk about stablecoin yield?
Very carefully, and often not at all. The GENIUS Act bans issuers paying yield on holding, MiCA bans interest on e-money tokens, and US regulators are looking at partner yield programmes. We follow your legal team's approved wording.
Do you work with stablecoin cards and payment apps?
Yes. Cards, payment apps and wallets that use stablecoins are most of the stablecoin work we plan, because creators can show a real purchase or transfer.
Can you market a stablecoin in Hong Kong?
Only for licensed issuers and permitted offerors. Hong Kong's Stablecoins Ordinance has applied since 1 August 2025 and treats active marketing to the Hong Kong public as offering.
How do you measure a stablecoin campaign?
By funded accounts, first transactions and repeat use per creator, from your own data. Views and downloads alone do not count.
